First there was greige — the color that took over Pinterest (and was featured in pretty much all of Joanna Gaines’ designs last season on Fixer Upper). And now there’s a new neutral that’s already popular on Pinterest, and slowly but surely making its way into homes across America.
Blush — or as Pantone officially named it, Rose Quartz — is the new gray, according to the folks over at Apartment Therapy. The pale pink color can be used in a variety of ways throughout the home. Use the soft and delicate shade to give blank walls some warmth — this woman gave her entire home a rosy glow by decorating with the color. Or you can feature it as a more lively and energizing pop of color on a couch or with patterned curtains; either way, it looks surprisingly grown-up (no Barbie dreamhouse vibes here!) and perfectly complements a variety of colors.
We don’t see this color going away any time soon. In fact, Erika Woelfel, a color expert from Behr paints discussed the versatility of the color at Behr Paint’s 2017 Paint Color Reveal. She explained that the color is easy to work with, and instantly enhances a room by making it feel more spacious and open. See for yourself.
